Job Profile
As a Senior Direct Sales Account Executive (Senior Sales Exec), you will be responsible for selling the organisation's products and services to new and existing clients with a particular focus on the Oil & Gas industry. 

Senior Direct Sales Account Executive’s (Senior Sales Exec’s) will manage their own business development strategies and will be the primary point of contact and accountability for client relationships, financial performance, end-to-end service delivery, service excellence, client satisfaction and account growth planning and execution.

Successful Senior Sales Exec’s will be field based where they will work autonomously within a remote team, undertaking regular travel and confidently driving new business through identification, development, negotiation, and closure of all new opportunities.

All Senior Sales Exec’s will have previous knowledge or experience of Engineering/technical business and will possess a solid understanding of process control and the impact of automation.

Principal Accountabilities
The main responsibilities for the successful candidate will include;
·Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the relationship with their assigned client.
·Drive new business through identification, development, negotiation, and closure of new opportunities with clients/prospects.
·Create and maintain territory sales plan/account plans for existing strategic customers.
·Identify and develop strategies to drive incremental business; manage demand and qualify opportunities.
·Coordinate deal crafting and positioning.
·Lead or participate in contract negotiations.
·Collaborates with the Delivery function to ensure the smooth transition of projects from Sales to Delivery, supporting Delivery leaders on client management issues
·Provides resolution of account issues, including end-to-end service delivery and overdue resolution.
·Provide resolution of account issues with respect to quality issues and/or development requirements and organize resolution in close contact with Portfolio Team and Research&Development.
·Ensures compliance with IOM sales processes and new business approval requirements, coordinating the relationship between key client personnel and IOM senior executives.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of many, if not all, of the following.
Technical Skills
·Engineering/technical background and acumen – to understand and articulate IOM offerings for the Lines Of Business the role is associated with.
·A deep understanding of process control and the impact of automation on a firm’s business - specific knowledge of Invensys automation products and solutions.
· Can demonstrate strong knowledge of targeted industries and already has established relationships in these industries.
· Working knowledge and deep understanding of the predominant people, products, services and solutions that are most important to large global firms. Insights into emerging players, technologies and key trends in the process automation marketplace.
· Understands typical client's drivers for improved information for control level and corporate level information.
· Skill set to maintain a product-neutral solution for each client.
· Ability to think in a strategic manner then formulate and advise sales strategies based on events and developments during the sales process.
· Fluent in English.

Experience / Qualifications
· Bachelor degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent training/experience
· Extensive experience of complex solution selling sales in an IOM targeted industry. MES experience, and/or other enterprise solutions experience preferred
· Proven industry experience, preferably in System Consulting, Engineering, or Sales support
· Account management - strong proven ability to lead in an account management situation, driving deals to closure, including leading proposals and participating in contract negotiations and following through to ensure delivery takes place appropriately and relationship with customer is maintained long term
· Experience in and evidence of strong relationship and partner management skills including interdivisional, external business partner and supplier management skills
· Process Automation Project/Program/Budgetary Management – A strong background and proven track record in the construction and management of complex large scale projects/programs/budgets for process automation services to or within large institutions
· Proven experience of establishing relationships at all levels of the business but especially senior level/C Suite relationships
· Existing network with key decision makers in Oil and Gas sector (upstream and/or downstream) – NAPIMS, NNPC, NCDMB
