Job description

Job Summary
The project manager leads a team of subject matter experts to deliver assigned projects from initiation to handover. The projects are IT infrastructure related and could be for and on behalf of new or existing clients.

Job Details:
• Responsible for the successful delivery of all projects from initiation to project handover
• oversee the project management process- project goals, plans, budgeting, scope definition, negotiating project commitments and business & technical requirement documentation, process scheduling

• Assists with the resolution of issues and escalates those that may not have an established precedence.
• Represent the company with project sponsors, contractors, suppliers, customers, departments, and other parties as required.
• Ensure up to date or near real-time tracking of project status at all points at all times report to management/client
• Ensure the maintenance of and strict adherence to standards for project scoping, design, client engagement, implementation, reporting in the Company.
• Coordinate all project meetings, following up with action points and ensure all team members deliver on their responsibilities
• Develop and ensure implementation of customer training to ensure smooth transition between projects completion and handover
• Design and implement post project learning and improvement points
Desired Skills and Experience

Competence Required:
Must have previous experience with implementation and support of IT infrastructure and service solutions
Must have an understanding of Cisco, HP, Oracle, Microsoft, VMware, EMC solutions(minimum of 2)
Demonstrable experience managing medium sized core infrastructure related IT projects.
Experience managing external third party outsource service providers.

Qualifications & Experience
Relevant Degree (Comp. Science/ Electrical Engineering/Comp. Engineering or any other related field).
Project Management Certification.
ITIL certification
At least 5 years of IT experience with project management experience.
At least 3 years of experience developing a project plan including the contract, scope, approach, plans, statement of work, cost estimates, schedule.
At least 3 years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel
Advanced level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint and Projects
Demonstrable ability to develop and present business and technical proposals for prospective and current customers (upgrades, improvements, new applications)
Demonstrable service management capabilities
