Job description
•To identify new opportunities for business growth and acquisition through the leverage of existing product capability, and the design and development of new product offerings, which will maximise the profitability of the Value Stream.
•Implement controls within the Business Unit to meet regulatory and internal requirements. In addition, drive and implement an effective risk management framework, and promote a strong risk management and a compliance culture.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
•Manages the overall profitability of the Value Stream and of the product offerings within the Value Stream.
•Establishes and manages key performance drivers for the Value Stream
•Develops and delivers a strategy for the Value Stream. This includes thinking beyond the restrictions of current product offerings and delivery channels, to include opportunities that may span Value Streams in their construction, application and impact
•Working with Marketing colleagues and the channels, formulates and implements world class product marketing strategies encompassing product features, processes, end to end delivery, pricing and sales
•Is responsible for determining potential new channels for new and existing products and providing overall guidance on the channel selection for the Value Centre
•Contributes to the development and design of the brand experience for the Consumer Bank.
•Leads the interface with support functions to ensure the best possible product offering and delivery
•Takes accountability for product performance through management of product design and ongoing re-evaluation of products to ensure maximised performance
•Owner of operational risk framework for relevant product groups
•Strategic sponsor for all sales activities
•Segment identification, process management, marketing support to facilitate sales
•Allocation of annual sales budget for all lending products to be sold through Direct sales and branches
•Track sales cost and manage/control variables. Ensure correct financial and accounting standards
•Mis-selling mitigation and ensure quality of customer interface with DSR

Qualifications & Skills
•University degree with 5 years experience in a senior management role
•In-depth knowledge and experience of Lending products
•Proven track record in product development
•Strong leadership and people management skills
•Ability to interact at senior level
•Excellent communication and presentation skills

In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
