Job Title: Sales Engineer

  • Agree and meet quarterly sales goals, monitor performance; provide feedback and corrective actions
  • Build a quality network within the customer base and act as relationship focal point for key accounts; identify new leads and grow them into sales
  • Develop appropriate follow-up programs to ensure success of the proposal submitted.
  • Support and own the Segment bid process, coordinating multi-Business Segment bids where necessary; understand the market and competitive landscape; ensure adequate coverage. Communicate changes to operations, the Segment and account management staff;
  • Develops and manages relationships with clients in line with the strategic sales plan, Contributes to sales forecasts and achieves agreed sales targets in assigned territory
  • Liaise with potential Customer regarding training, procurement, recruitment and other engineering consulting and project needs and solutions
  • Maintain integrity in all words and actions ensuring ethics, HSE and quality are evident
  • Plans and prioritizes sales activities with particular focus on contacting and visiting new clients to secure new business.
  • Make presentations, and modifications on processes, to guarantee more efficient service delivery for maintaining client relationship
  • Managing and retaining existing clients and developing new channels of business
  • Identifies target clients and sales opportunities and develops those opportunities all the way through to successful contract award in line with sales targets.
  • Attend techno-commercial discussions involving bid clarifications, positioning of product features, contract legal clauses, price negotiations and other relevant direct sales functions.
  • Meeting and exceeding the company set target and increasing the company cliental database
  • Monitor client perception of service delivery and help ensure excellence in service delivery
  • Development of new Business Areas
  • Follow ups of Quotations/Variations from Order
  • Develop appropriate follow-up programs to ensure success of the proposal submitted.
  • Review every opportunity and ensure all opportunities are advanced or closed, 
  • Ensure sales are closed at winning / market prices that meet the profitability levels set by the business Segment
  • B.Sc/ B.Eng /HND (Electrical /Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related discipline)
  • Must know some Oil and Gas/FMCG/Power/Petrochemical/Chemical company’s location and have contacts in same
  • Knowledge of LV Panels, MCCs, MDBs, PLC & Automation Panels
  • Knowledge in PLC,SCADA,DCS,VFD, Sensors
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Self-motivated and target oriented.
  • Multi-tasking capability
  • Excellent communication, administration and organizational skills.
  • Above 3 years’ experience with Managerial skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight reporting schedule
