Job Title: Marketing Director

Description

  • Perfetti Van Melle  is looking for a Marketing Director in search of an international career.
  • The chosen candidate will be employed in Italy and seconded to PVM’s Nigerian Operating Company, for at most a 3 year period.
  • Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the person will be responsible for creating and enhancing brand awareness/equity for all product categories for the largest and most important market in Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and implementing brand portfolio strategy in alignment with PVM goals, competitive scenario and dynamic consumer mindset.
  • Evaluating brand health, recommending and implementing marketing initiatives
  • Leading new product ideations and new promotions within brand portfolio
  • Evaluating channel partners and media agencies
  • Advising on critical market research activities
  • Inspiring and mentoring your team (3 Brand managers), helping them meet and exceed their objectives and modelling behaviors that promote openness, credibility and trust.

Requirements

  • Internationally mobile and available to relocate to Nigeria (Lagos)
  • Fluent English – both written and spoken
  • 10-12 years marketing experience in the FMCG industry, out of which at least 8 in developed markets and preferably 3 years experience in developing markets
  • Post graduate (MBA) with specialization in Sales/Marketing
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse team, stakeholders and partners.
  • Capability to promote team-working and collaboration among the different functions
  • Ability to translate creative strategies and business solutions into winning action
