Job Title: Conference Support Assistant

Description

  • This Event/Conference Support Assistant will play a key role in organizing NEXTT?s events in its 5th and final year. 
  • S/he will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of events--such as conferences, publicity events, dinners and luncheons, and commercial activities.

Responsibilities 

  • Regularly meet with stakeholders, attend planning meetings, and ensure that all contributors continue to move forward to successful events.
  • Work with event organizers and stakeholders to establish objectives of the events, with measurable outcomes where possible. On the basis of these objectives, help organizers and stakeholders craft agendas that will ensure the events meet the conference objectives
  • Manage event budgets.
  • Ensure invitations are distributed, particularly to key participants.
  • Prepare regular reporting to NEXTT Management on progress
  • Other tasks such as administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • HND/BSC in Business Administration or other related field.
  • Experience in having organized conferences
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of various Lagos event venues preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of printing and publishing required
  • Ability to work without full time direct supervision ? a self-starter
