Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Ogun

Job Description

  1. An Account Officer in our organization, takes care of the financial bookkeeping and records of the organization.
  2. Their duties include receiving payments and expenses and processing invoices.
  3. They also send out bills and invoices, follow up on overdue payments and ensure that a company’s invoices and payments match up correctly by cross-checking the original document to the company’s record.
  4. Account Officers work with other professionals like the head of account and Internal and external auditors to make sure the company’s finances are accurately recorded.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role
  2. Utilize database software to organize financial account information
  3. Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources
  4. Make regular contact with clients to ensure payment
  5. Ensure company financial accounts, such as credit cards, are paid on time
  6. Perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary
  7. Review both incoming and outgoing invoices
  8. Generate financial reports for review regulatory authorities.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, HND or OND qualification with at least 1 year work experience.
  2. Familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
  3. Experience using accounting software and general computer knowledge is necessary.
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  6. Quick to collaborate and coordinate with team members when necessary
  7. Prior experience working with financial accounts
  8. Strong math and critical reasoning skills.
