Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a result-driven and trustworthy Accountant who would work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy to join our team.
  2. In this role, you would work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Reconciling bank statements with general ledger entries
  2. Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
  3. Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  4. Presenting financial data to managers, investors, and other entities.
  5. Maintaining accurate financial and stock records
  6. Overseeing incoming payments from customers and outgoing payments from accounts payable
  7. Computing taxes, and filling VAT promptly
  8. Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  9. Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts

Job Requirements

  • Combination of advanced education, relevant certification and related experiences
  • B.Sc / HND – Accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in similar position
  • Must have solid understanding and adherence to the Servant Leadership philosophy.
  • skilled at prioritizing and motivated by accomplishment.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and analytic skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

Core Competencies:

  1. Firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations
  2. Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  3. Proficiency in accounting softwares
  4. Good understanding of mathematics, economics and financial processes.
  5. Good ethical behaviour and attention to detail.
