Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

1. Keep accurate and documented records of the company’s financial transactions and collate these for auditing.
2. Maintain financial security through strict implementation of internal controls.
3. Collect financial data; preparing balance sheet, and profit and loss statement.
4. Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and report for decision-making.
5. Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by analyzing account information.
6. Keep track of all sales & outstanding payments and escalate to the Business Director.
7. Manage petty cash and disburse funds for day-to-day operations of the company in line with established account policies and procedures.
8. Recommend financial actions by summarizing the company’s current financial status periodically.
9. Maintain accounting, inventory, and purchase control by preparing policies and procedures.
10. Drive compliance to all regulatory compliance and remit all statutory payments as and when due.
11. Prepare vendor/supplier/petty cash payment by verifying documentation and requesting disbursement.
12. Carry out periodic inventory reconciliations in collaboration with the Procurement Officer & Inventory Officer.
13. Make payment runs to suppliers and vendors.
14. Create forms & templates for documentation of financial transactions and use these in updating finance operations records.
15. Prepare monthly management reports not limited to income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flow.

Job Requirements

1. B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from a reputable institution.
2. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
3. Experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
5. Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks, Peachtree, or Sage software
6. Up-to-date technology expertise is a strong advantage.
7. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance (PAYE, PENSION, VAT, Company Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax)
8. Excellent reporting skills
9. Strong written and oral communication.
10. Organization and attention to detail.
11. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Time management.
13. Mathematical and deductive reasoning.
14. Critical thinking & active learning.
15. Must be female
16. Must be within the age range of 25 – 30.

Salary
N100,000 Monthly.
