Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We need a trustworthy candidate who work efficiently without sacrificing attention to details and will be responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of our company.
  2. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analysing a company’s accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
  3. You will handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management.
  4. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations, and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
  2. Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
  3. Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
  4. Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
  5. Maintaining accurate financial records.
  6. Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
  7. Computing taxes.
  8. Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
  9. Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  10. Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  11. Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
  12. Managing income and expenditure accounts
  13. Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
  14. Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
  15. Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
  16. Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  2. Experience from an investment, Fintech or lending sector may be preferred.
  3. ACCA Chartered is required with 2-4 years experience
  4. Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  5. Understanding of accounting and financial processes.
  6. Ethical behavior.
  7. Attention to detail.
