Job Position: Human Resource / Administrative Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  2. Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  3. Assist in hiring and onboarding processes
  4. Update employee database with new hire information
  5. Uphold the company culture
  6. Create and maintain necessary HR documents
  7. Ensuring the confidentiality and security of files and filing systems
  8. Coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, distributing memos and reports and ensuring that everyone is kept current of necessary company news and information
  9. Implement company policies
  10. Handle payroll information
  11. Prepare necessary HR reports
  12. Liaise with business partners on employee matters
  13. Deal with queries and complaints from employees and business partners
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
  15. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  16. Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  17. Nurture a positive working environment
  18. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  19. Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  20. Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  21. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  22. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

Job Requirements

  1. A Degree in Human Resource Management or any other related field
  2. At least 3 years experience as HR/Admin Officer
  3. Familiarity with HR software
  4. Knowledge of labour laws in Nigera and HR best practices
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  7. People oriented and results driven
  8. Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  9. Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  10. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  11. Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  12. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
