Job Position: Project Officer / Architect

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage design projects from concept development through to completion, preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications and construction documents
  2. Supervise and project manage site works and activities
  3. Manage Artisan, masons and as well as other subcontractors
  4. Manage procurement of materials, cost analysis and bill of quantity
  5. Compile feasibility reports, determine environmental impact, create project proposals, estimate costs, determine timelines and oversee construction processes.
  6. Assist in designing and implementing business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of set goals
  7. Work with other members to coordinate preliminary architectural studies for major new structures and alterations to existing structures and site development
  8. Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions, working with teams across business lines
  9. Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers to ensure that aspects such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), as well as structural supports are properly incorporated into the designed structures.
  10. Comply with safety standards and local planning regulation and gain permit for all construction projects
  11. Manage and provide support by matching and setting up agreements between clients and contractors
  12. Handle documentations as it concerns projects
  13. Manage the day to day activities on sites.
  14. Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree (Second class Upper division) in Engineering, Building Science or relevant field with at least 4 years relevant work experience.
  2. Proven experience as construction project Officer
  3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
  5. Good knowledge of MS Office
  6. Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  7. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  9. A team player with leadership abilities
  10. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage as construction project manager.
