Job Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Coordinating daily restaurant management operations.
  2. Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  3. Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints.
  4. Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
  5. Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
  6. Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
  7. Organize and supervise shifts.
  8. Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
  9. Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products.
  10. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  11. Manage the restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
  12. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
  13. Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
  14. Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
  15. Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads).
  16. Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
  17. Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Job Requirements

  • BSc Degree in Business Administration; Hospitality Management or Culinary Schooling is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position

Required Skills / Attributes:

  1. Proven customer service experience as a manager
  2. Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers.
  3. Familiarity with restaurant management software, like hotelplus.
  4. Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  5. Acute financial management skills
  6. Proficiency in the use of Enterprise-wide software such as SAGE
  7. Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel and Powerpoint.
