Job Position: Business Development and Marketing Manager
Job Location: Nigeria
- The Business Development and Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our market presence in the electricity distribution sector through effective marketing initiatives and the development of key partnerships.
- This will involve developing and implementing strategic marketing and business plans, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with clients and partners in order to generate revenue and support overall business growth.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients through effective marketing campaigns and strategic business development.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
- Identify and evaluate potential business partnerships to enhance the company’s product or service offerings.
- Negotiate and finalise partnership agreements for mutual benefit.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Utilise data and analytics to optimise marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals.
- Assist in creating or enhancing materials used for sales processes.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. Use research findings to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Oversee the development and effective execution of marketing campaigns to enhance the company’s brand visibility and promote its services in the power sector.
- Prepare and present compelling business proposals, ensuring they align with the organisation’s goals and meet client requirements.
- Drive sales efforts and develop strategies to increase revenue, considering the unique aspects of the power industry.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Social Sciences or equivalent of same in practical experience.
- 8+ years of cognate experience in electricity distribution or relevant sector.
- Strong background in sales and marketing.
- Skilled in marketing analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Results-driven and able to meet or exceed targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
Note that applicants who meet the following criteria will have an added advantage:
- MSc or MBA from a reputable institution.
- Successfully led revenue growth efforts in a related Industry.
- Extensive experience in the Nigerian Power Sector.
- Successful track record in B2B and B2C sales and negotiation.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Fluency in Hausa.
