Coleman Technical Industries Limited (“Coleman”) was incorporated on the 1st of July, 1975 and started production in 1996 with the principal operation of manufacturing of electrical wires and cables that meet international standards for Oil Industries, Commercial and Residential. The Company was founded on the principles of developing local industries that would in turn create jobs through the production of good quality products.

Job Description

  • To identify profitable business opportunities, secure sound business deals, and to develop and execute strategies to increase company sales and profits.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Defining partnership and business strategies by which partnerships can help grow the business.
  2. Structuring and negotiating agreements with prospective partners.
  3. Attending sales exhibition and other networking activitieManaging and optimizing a portfolio of partnerships to grow and support the business at global scale

Key Result Area
Key Activities:

  1. Business Development Defining partnership and business strategies by which partnerships can help grow the business.
  2. Structuring and negotiating agreements with prospective partners.
  3. Attending sales exhibitions and other networking activities
  4. Managing and optimizing a portfolio of partnerships to grow and support the business at the global scale.
  5. Market Research Identifying and building business cases for high potential partnership opportunities.
  6. Identify competitors and how the company can do better than its competitors.
  7. Report Writing Weekly market Research report stating the numbers of potential customers they met.
  8. Business Proposals Crafting business proposals to potential clients and customers
  9. Market/Customers Target Building and maintaining an existing database of potential customers/clients to meet the company’s expected weekly/ monthly targets.
  10. Any Other duties Perform any other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. HND / B.Sc in Business Management / Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years experience.
  3. Proven experience working as a business development officer or similar role
  4. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  5. The ability to drive and travel as needed
  6. Strong business acumen.
