Job Position: Chief Operation Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Analyse internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.
  2. Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long- term objectives developed in tandem with CEO
  3. Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with CEO in sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near – term growth targets.
  4. Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability.
  5. Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
  6. Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  7. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth .
  8. Establish policies that promote company culture and vision .
  9. Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
  10. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data metrics.
  11. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
  12. Manage relationships with partners/vendors.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc / BA in Business Administration or any relevant field
  2. MSc / MBA is a plus
  3. Five or more years of experience in executive or leadership roles
  4. Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  5. Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
  6. Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  7. In-depth understanding of logistics business.
  8. Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role.
  9. Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, and marketing etc.
  10. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  11. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  12. Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
  13. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  14. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  15. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  16. Chief operations officer experience in a logistics company will be an advantage.

Remuneration
N400,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
