Job Position: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Job Location: Warri, Delta

Job Description

  • To lead the corporate/physical security function for Matrix, including responsibility for its overall corporate security strategies, development & oversight of its security architecture.
  • To guard and protect Matrix Energy Limited staff and her assets.

Job Responsibilities 

  1. Advises management on security implications and requirements of the Corporate Strategy.
  2. Works with management to prioritize initiatives and associated spending based on the appropriate risk assessments.
  3. Prepares the annual security budgets and drives its implementation
  4. Oversee and coordinate security efforts on the company facilities
  5. Identify security initiatives and standards.
  6. Develop Procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors.
  7. Ensure security is maintained and updated
  8. Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programmes
  9. Implement total video Surveillance
  10. Prioritize security initiatives
  11. Develop Network access and monitoring policies
  12. Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies
  13. Develop emergency procedures and incident responses
  14. Investigate Security Breaches
  15. Conduct audits to find holes in security platforms
  16. Liaison with host community and mediate in conflict resolution
  17. Any other duties assigned by Management of Matrix Energy Limited

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Psychology, or any other related field.
  2. Must have at least 7 years’ experience as a CSO in a private sector with proven achievements.
  3. Must have Military or Para Military back experience.
  4. Must have attended trainings or have work experience on intelligence gathering and conflict resolution.
  5. Must have attained the position of Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent.
  6. Must have professional relationship with road (LASTMA, FERMA, FRSC..etc)    Sea (NAVY, NIMASA and other regulatory bodies).
