Job Position: Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

  1. Act as principle point of contact for cost management
  2. motivates others to participate and contribute, provides necessary direction and inspires high performance
  3. Take on key account role(s), project execution assurance and maintain client relationships as required
  4. Deliver assurance services to projects – peer review, gateway review, maturity assessments, readiness reviews, progress and performance audits
  5. Periodically take on major program delivery roles and lead the Turner & Townsend team on the commission – achieve a successful “steady state” delivery and then manage transition and backfill
  6. Provide oversight and assurance to the Turner & Townsend major program in the region
  7. Identify organizational needs, build recruitment plans and develop role specifications
  8. Extensive experience in delivering CM/Project Controls programs, projects and segment knowledge
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and business development strategies
  10. Provide solutions to clients and work together with business development team member(s) on sales proposals, qualification packages and presentation materials
  11. Coordinate with project team leaders on project negotiations and execution
  12. Collaborate with the other business divisions and teams
  13. Provide oversight and assurance to the Turner & Townsend major programs in the region
  14. Delivers high quality of service products by utilizing Turner & Townsend systems, policy and procedure, managing time, planning and organizing to ensure excellence
  15. Demonstrates understanding of commercial business drivers and ensures that work and projects are carried out in alignment. Contributes to the development of business opportunities
  16. Demonstrable appetite for challenge, innovation and continued improvement in CM/PC discipline
  17. Identify and understand the areas of opportunity and development
  18. Enable continued growth trajectory within the market

Job Requirements

Candidate must have the following;

  1. You must have at least Bachelor’s degree in the Built Environment, Construction Management or other relevant discipline
  2. Minimum of 15 – 20 years proven experience in a similar role
  3. Strong knowledge of construction contract law
