Job Position: Data Analyst

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a passionate certified Data Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
  2. Your responsibilities will include conducting a complete lifecycle analysis for requirements, activities and design. Data analysts will develop research and reporting capabilities
  3. You will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  2. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  3. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems
  4. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  5. Filter and “clean” data
  6. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  7. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Job Requirements

  1. BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics is a plus
  2. Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  3. Technical expertise in data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
  4. Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (JavaScript or ETL frameworks)
  5. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
  6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  7. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  8. Knowledge of Retool, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
