Job Position: Finance Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Formulate, update, and implement Finance strategies, policies, and processes ·
  2. Provide strategic financial investment and leadership support, in line with the overall strategy
  3. Develop and utilize financial models and activity-based financial analysis to provide a basis for investment decisions and business planning
  4. Prepare the department’s annual budget and monitor implementation
  5. Support management in long term financial planning for the organisation
  6. Develop and manage key relationships with relevant external bodies / contacts e.g., regulatory organisations, external investors, solicitors, banks etc. to facilitate effective business finance operations
  7. Advise management on financial benefits or demerits of proposed projects, changes in financial regulations and legislations as well as changes in competition and market trends
  8. Raise funds and monitor all credit lines as approved by the Board, to finance the organisation’ activities
  9. Develop and implement strategies for accessing and securing funds at cost effective rates
  10. Manage key banking relationships to facilitate proper, timely and cost-effective funding of business operations
  11. Liaise with relevant internal teams to ensure and advice as regards the adequacy of credit lines for procurement purposes
  12. Ensure adequate controls are in place to facilitate seamless payment and efficient financial management
  13. Drive a cost-saving culture across all areas of the business
  14. Oversee the preparation of Financial models for new products or new business lines and alliances; pricing of new and existing products in order to remain competitive and advice Management accordingly
  15. Monitor all third-party payments to ensure that such payments are accompanied by Work Completion Certificates completed and are in alignment with the approved budget.
  16. Manage effective relationships with banks ensuring timely response to request/inquiries
  17. Oversee all activities of the treasury function Any other jobs as assigned

Job Requirements

  1. A first degree in Finance is required
  2. MBA or Masters- added advantage) (with a Finance or related focus) in related discipline
  3. Relevant professional certifications such as; the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA) is required
  4. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, 4 of which must have been in a Management position of this role and sector.
