Job Position: General Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the operations fumctions of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
  2. Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
  3. Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
  4. Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
  5. Inspect the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness
  6. Ensure company standards for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met
  7. Answer guest questions about hotel services and policies
  8. Keep track of the hotel’s financials
  9. Monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy
  10. Coordinate front-office and back-office activities and resolve any problems
  11. Set budgets and room rates, allocate funds and approve expenditures for various departments.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 3+ years relevant work experience.
  2. Ability to lead a large group
  3. Attention to detail
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication
  6. Knowledge of all hotel operating procedures
  7. Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to manage several budgets
  9. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
