Job Position: Head of Finance

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Drive the company’s financial planning
  2. Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
  3. Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  4. Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
  5. Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
  6. Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
  7. Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
  8. Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
  9. Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
  10. Approve or reject budgets
  11. Conduct risk management
  12. Evaluate and decide on investments
  13. Supervise a team of Accountants
  14. Allocate resources and manage cash flows
  15. Conduct profit and cost analyses
  16. Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
  17. Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
  18. Consult board members about funding options
  19. Recommend cost-reducing solutions

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a B.Sc / BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field with 5-9 years experience; MSc/MBA is a plus
  2. Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role
  3. In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  4. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  6. Ability to strategize and solve problems
  7. Strong leadership and organizational skills
  8. Excellent communication and people skills
  9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  10. CPA is a strong advantage
