Ave Maria Multipurpose Investment Limited (AMMIL), a micro-credit institution of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo was established in September 2018 to provide soft loans to small business owners at the diocesan coverage areas. The institution is a metamorphosis of the defunct Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) of the Justice Development and Peace Movement (JDPM) Oyo which trains youth, women, and other less privileged people in the society the basic and viable business of tie and dye, tailoring, bead making, liquid soap among others.

Job Position: Head, Internal Auditor

Job Location: Oyo Town, Oyo

Job Description

  1. Manage operations of audit department to ensure achievement of set objectives and goals.
  2. Overseeing and ensuring preparation of timely Audit reports to management.
  3. Audit Committee and provide progress reports regarding action taken by management.
  4. Conduct Audits in accordance with the approved internal audit plan.
  5. Determining process and procedures are adequate to prevent and detect fraud, suppression, theft or misappropriation of funds.
  6. Carrying out constant checks to ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedure on segregation of duties.
  7. Returns rendition to CBN.
  8. Report on Anti-Money Laundering policy of CBN, NDIC, EFCC, ICPC and other relevant bodies.
  9. Reviewing and preparing the bank compliance ratios and compare side by side with the regulatory standard ratios to see if the bank is falling short of the standard and give recommendation on the way forward.
  10. Reviewing of daily call over report.

Job Requirements 

  1. BA / B.Sc / HND, MBA / M.Sc in Accounting.
  2. Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Accounting or related discipline.
  3. MCIBN certification will be an added advantage.
  4. Candidate must have 3 – 5 years Microfinance Bank experience in internal control.
