Job Position: HR Assistant (NYSC)
Job Location: Lagos
- You will be responsible for providing support to the HR manager in various administrative tasks and assisting with HR processes.
- You will gain practical experience in HR operations, policies, and procedures, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Success in this position looks like effectively assisting with HR tasks, maintaining confidentiality, displaying professionalism in communication and behaviour, and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including but not limited to filing, data entry, preparing HR documents, scheduling interviews, and managing HR calendars.
- Assist with HR processes, such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employee recordkeeping.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, and direct them to appropriate resources for further assistance.
- Maintain and update HR databases and employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating HR events, training, and meetings.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with HR laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in HR or related field is a plus, but not required.
