Job Position: Human Resources Assistant (West Africa)

Job Description

  1. CTG Nigeria requires a dynamic experienced, self-motivated Human Resources Assist who can support the Human Resources Manager in managing current operations and client growth of our Nigeria and West Africa business.
  2. The successful candidate must be bi-lingual (English and French proficient) and will support the HR Manager.

Job Responsibilities
S/he will be responsible for managing all aspects of client services including:

  1. Sourcing, recruiting and on-boarding new staff ensuing that CTG’s objectives of achieving gender parity in its staff numbers are adhered to.
  2. Supporting the HR Account Manager to manage client projects
  3. Maintaining Human Resource records
  4. Addressing daily consultant and client enquiries
  5. Maintaining CTG consultant databases and relevant documentations
  6. Supporting verification of payroll details
  7. Ensuring all staff operate in compliance with company policies and procedures
  8. Ensuring CTG’s high standard of Duty of Care is consistently applied
  9. Supporting and suggesting improvements to the entire recruitment process.
  10. Maintaining recruitment procedures that comply with Nigerian labor law and other labor laws of other West African nations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s Degree desirable
  • Certification: CIPM, CIPD, SHRM or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years sector experience in a relevant Human Resources role (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years West Africa experience (required)

Work Experience:

  • 3-4 years of demonstrable relevant Human Resources or Project Management experience.
  • Experience working with the United Nations or on other large donor funded project and programmes.
  • Experience working for a global international organization.
  • A knowledge of humanitarian and international development protocols and practices.


  • Fluency in French and in English (required)
