Job Position: IT Support Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • Delivery of IT Support services to internal users, user incident resolution and solutions implementation, updates and upgrades, network and systems support, technical and incident recording, and administration

Job Responsibilities

  1. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, network printers, and scanners
  2. Responding in a timely manner to IT service issues and requests
  3. Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  4. Setting up accounts for new users
  5. Repairing and replacing IT equipment as necessary & Testing new technology
  6. Training of users on new IT initiatives
  7. Maintaining & supporting Active Directory services in your organization as well as configuring users on these services
  8. Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
  9. Provide Level-1/2 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  10. Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
  11. Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
  12. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system
  13. problems.
  14. Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
  15. Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
  16. Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 2 – 3 years work experience.
