Job Position: Junior Operator (Stretch Hood)

Job Location: Ibese, Ogun

Job Description

1. Packer Operator with the skills and competence to operate machinery and equipment according to instructions in a safe and effective manner.
2. Monitoring Bulk loading operation panels.
3. To load and dispatch 750mt of cement in twelve hours.
4. To load and dispatch 2 trucks per hour.

Job Responsibilities

1. Loading of 50kg bags on pallets.
2. Unloading and loading of pallets.
3. Palletization loading from Auto loading machine.
4. Ensure that 750mt of cement per twelve hour per shift is being dispatched.
5. Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.
6. Always operate autoloaders, Palletizer machine in auto mode.
7. Keep checking bags weight for 50kg, else inform supervisor.
8. Stack reject bags properly.
9. Stack busted bags properly.
10. Do not leave work spot without permission.
11. Clean packers line periodically without unwanted material such as rejected and busted bags.
12. Inform shift manager and shift supervisor about any issues.
13. Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.
14. Proper taking over from previous shift.
15. Hand over with proper communication to reliever.
16. Carry out simple arithmetic operations for loading programs.
17. Manually correct loading programs when mistakes occur.
18. Stop or reset auto packer when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
19. Count and record finished and rejected bags of cement.
20. Clean the auto packer with compressed air during and at the end of each shift.
21. Ensure ATC and loading slips are received before trucks are loaded.

Job Requirements
Academic / Professional Qualifications:

• Trade Test 1, 2, 3.
• WASC / GCE / SSCE with minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.

Work Experience:

• SSCE + 5 years work experience.
• Trade Test 1, 2, 3 + 2 years work experience.

Skills & Competencies:

1. Basic knowledge of cement production process.
2. Working knowledge auto packer parts and their functions.
3. Ability to operate auto packer and palliating effectively.
4. Good knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
5. Good relationship interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to operate auto packer effectively Good knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures.
