Job Position: Quality Control Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation/procedures in Quality Assurance to support OHSAS, Environment & Quality.
  2. Assist with the preparation of audit and improvement plans.
  3. Monitor compliance with legislation, ISO standards and Company policies.
  4. Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
  5. Liaise with other departments to facilitate the planning of quality aspects of work Programmes.
  6. Assist with the Business Continuity Planning and Enterprise Risk Management program.
  7. Support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety Environment, Quality, and Energy usage on Site, including research of best practices and legal research.
  8. General support of all aspects of the Legal & Governance Function.
  9. Coordinate and administer the delivery of compliance training through the company’s learning management system
  10. Assist with minute-taking at meetings as agreed, ensuring communication of minutes within given timescales.
  11. Creation of accurate monthly reports on all aspects of QHSE
  12. Arranging meetings for all aspects within the Legal & Governance Function.
  13. Reviewing and ensuring end-to-end quality assurance and compliance for every stage of the Site project build
  14. Perform audit of materials sourced to ensure conformance with quality expectations
  15. Perform proper process audit of all deliverables and ensure completion of same (Including outstanding issues and snags) by Project team prior to triggering handover to Operations
  16. Prepare a detailed report of the entire site build process with a view to identifying gaps and areas for improvement.

Operations:

  1. Perform scheduled/unscheduled visits to sites in order to audit site operations and processes
  2. Perform process audit to ensure FMEs are efficiently and in a timely manner discharging their duties of site management and availability through PPM
  3. Perform audit of materials sourced for ongoing operations (Eg Diesel, Spares etc) to ensure conformance with quality expectations
  4. Identify risks, root cause analysis of same and actions to mitigate them
  5. Prepare detailed reports with a view to identifying gaps and areas for improvement
  6. Any other tasks that he should perform can be included.

Job Requirements

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Law degree is an advantage)
  • 3 – 4 years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn the ISO standards  Quality, Environment, OH&S
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office including Teams and Outlook and able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Highly organized approach with great attention to detail
  • Friendly and approachable and able to communicate with a wide range of people.
