Job Responsibilities

  1. Review and reconcile financial statements, accounts, and transactions to identify discrepancies.
  2. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, collaborating with relevant departments.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies during reconciliation processes.
  5. Generate reconciliation reports and summaries for review by management.
  6. Implement efficient reconciliation procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with finance and reconciliation teams to resolve complex reconciliation issues.
  8. Communicate and document findings and resolutions effectively.
  9. Monitor and report on reconciliation progress and outstanding issues.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of financial control processes.
  11. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to reconciliation.
  12. Provide support during audits and examinations by external parties.
  13. Contribute to the overall financial transparency and integrity of the organization.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Suite.
  3. Proficiency in using Financial software and reconciliation tools is an added advantage.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  5. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  6. Proven experience in financial reconciliation, accounting, or auditing roles is an added advantage.
  7. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting findings.
  8. Problem-solving abilities to investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues.
  9. Organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  10. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  11. Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
