Job Positions: Retail Officer

Locations: Lagos (Festac) & Oyo (Bodija)

Job Brief

  • To provide excellent customer service and meet sales quotas for the Store.
  • You will identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend first-hand solutions.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role.
  • Ultimately, the job holder will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  1. Carry out retention/marketing activities for sales growth
  2. Identify idle products (i.e products that had been in stock for over 3 months) in the branch and ensure they are pushed out.
  3. Carry out store service/drop-offs/IT/Technical and Aftersales support services
  4. Professionally aid customers in making an informed choice of products to purchase using superior product knowledge.
  5. Ensure good and proper assortment and display of products at the store
  6. Partake in stock count exercise with the internal and external auditors
  7. Maintain a clean environment within and around the Store Premises
  8. Ensure proper management of location and personnel
  9. Prepare and forward daily activity report to all applicable parties
  10. Send daily facility report as directed by Admin
  11. Confirmation of all customers’ lodgments and transfers before invoicing.
  12. Ensure all payments by customers are receipted, posted and matched correctly both on Busy and Excel.
  13. Ensure all credit requests are approved before raising the invoice.
  14. Ensuring Cash is properly managed at any location of work.
  15. Prompt lodgment of cheques
  16. Ensure updated filing of all account documents.
  17. Ensure exact products requested are issued to customers to avoid sales returns.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a mall, stores, supermarket or retail outlet
  • Minimum of OND in any field
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Good customer relation skill
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
