Job Position: Stock Control Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

  1. Managing, receiving and dispatching goods.
  2. Keeping record of stock movement.
  3. Ensuring that stock is at par with quality standards and ensuring accurate records.
  4. Performing quality checks on inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards.

Job Description

  1. Receiving bread from slicing department and issuing accordingly to customers.
  2. Arranging and counting loaves received and issued.
  3. Receiving invoice and payment receipts from customers and issuing out dispatch form/delivery note after issuing loaves.
  4. Entering customers’, Sales Representatives’ and distributors’ names and number of loaves issued out in the analysis book and transferring all sales for the day from the analysis book to the dispatch control sheet by the end of the day.
  5. Distributing loaves in the most equitable way during scarcity.
  6. Submitting daily reports to the Centre Accountant.
  7. Directing customers to the appropriate office for cash payment and complaints.
  8. Coordinating supply by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, placing and expediting orders.
  9. Keeping customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, current status and answering questions.
  10. Balancing sales with received loaves and ensuring that the closing stock on paper is commensurate with the physical stock.
  11. Replacing damaged items, shortages and substandard loaves returned by customers, following the laid down processes for changing loaves.
  12. Attending to customers, Sales Representatives and Distributors within the shortest time possible thus reducing bottlenecks and unnecessary queuing.
  13. Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  14. Accomplishing organizational goals by meeting requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  15. Proper recording and documentation of loaves received as well as loaves issued out.
  16. Reconciling books with the slicing section to ensure balance.
  17. Submitting the dispatch control sheet and giving daily report of activities to auditor.
  18. Submitting the hard-to-sell-loaves form as well as inventory level report to the Admin for decision making.
  19. Issuing rations, P.R.O, sample loaves, etc. according to the standard ticket tendered; ensuring that tickets are backed up by the signature of authorized personnel.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 1- 2 years work experience.

Skills:

  1. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  2. Good communication and negotiation skills.
  3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
  5. Sound numerical skills.

Remuneration and Benefits

  1. Monthly Salary: N45,000 – N55,000
  2. Quarterly bonus package.
