Job Position: Supermarket Manager

Job Location: Lenonox Mall, Lekki Phase I – Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. A pleasant and friendly disposition, with a natural desire to serve;
  2. Professional, calm, patient, and can work well under pressure;
  3. Leading effective teams, high energy, and a positive attitude;
  4. Monitor sales and enhance the customer experience; handling complaints and feedback;
  5. Excellent communication, numeracy and logistical planning skills;
  6. Ensure that products are priced rightly, displayed appropriately and are in good condition.
  7. Possess a welcoming demeanor and ready to assist with customer needs for assistance.
  8. Instruct and guide other staff toward meeting overall goals
  9. Ensure that the supermarket is safe, healthy, secure and clean at all times
  10. Plan and prepare work schedules and keep records of employees’ work schedules and time cards.
  11. Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for their department.
  12. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level.
  13. Work with management to develop strategies to increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business.
  14. Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management.
  15. Plan budgets and authorize payments and merchandise returns.
  16. Check all products to determine that they are in good condition.
  17. Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold.
  18. Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.
  19. Plan and coordinate advertising campaigns and sales promotions and prepare merchandise.
  20. Formulate pricing policies for merchandise, according to profitability requirements.
  21. Establish credit policies and operating procedures.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  2. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a supermarket environment, ideally in a managerial role.
  3. Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  4. Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  5. Strong organizational skills
  6. Attention to Detail and Numerical Skills.
  7. Demonstrable Skills and Technical Competence:
  8. Interested applicants must be of high integrity.
  9. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Be able to deliver tasks in a timely and quality manner.
  11. Establish credit policies and operating procedures.
  12. Good communication skill
  13. Proven years of experience managing a store, its activities, and staff.
