About the Team

  1. Sun King’s Marketing team strategizes, designs, and implements campaigns, communications, and brand activations to promote the sale of solar powered home energy solutions through the company’s “EasyBuy” direct to consumer (B2C) and distribution partnership (B2C) channels.
  2. Working through more than 15,000 commission sales agents, 250+ Sun King branded retail shops, hundreds of rural retailers, and more than 100 wholesale distributors, Sun King’s Marketing team ensures under-electrified consumers connect with the brand’s reliability, affordability, and user-friendly designs.
  3. The Marketing team works collaboratively with the company’s in-house Creative team, the Direct Sales and Distribution Partnerships teams, Finance, and Operations to execute below- and above- the line marketing activities, corporate communications, and brand promotion to drive sales and maintain its top spot in the market.

Job Description

  1. The Sun King Marketing team is looking for a Trade Marketing Associate who will drive disbursement of marketing merchandise.
  2. We are looking for someone who is driven, passionate and excited about the opportunity to bring affordable, energy to homes.

Job Responsibilities

What you would be expected to do:

  1. Work with creative team to ensure customer facing materials are aligned with the Sun King brand guidelines.
  2. Work with procurement team in sourcing for marketing vendors.
  3. Liaise with procurement team in driving down costs of marketing materials production whilst still maintaining quality of the marketing merchandise.
  4. Liaise with the warehouse team in ensuring the right quality and quantities of marketing merchandise are delivered by the marketing vendors.
  5. Ensures that marketing materials are adequately available in the Sun King warehouses for easy disbursement to the field.
  6. Liaise with the warehouse team in ensuring the right quantities of marketing merchandise are disbursed to the respective Sun King stores/partners.
  7. Carry out a monthly reconciliation with the warehouse team on marketing merchandise.
  8. Liaise with the Sun King store executives in confirming receipt of marketing merchandise and disbursement to Sun King agents.
  9. Fill the monthly disbursement tracker to ensure how adequately marketing materials are issued to Sun King agents.
  10. Carry out a quarterly reconciliation with the Sun King Store Executives on marketing merchandise available in the stores.
  11. Share a quarterly status report of all Sun King stores and advise on stores that require refurbishments.
  12. Work with the Regional Business Managers (RBMs)/Area Business Managers(ABMs) in identifying local vendors for easy access to store refurbishments.
  13. Work with the creative team in churning out designs to be used for wall brandings.
  14. Align with the Brand Manager on walls/collection centers to be branded.
  15. Liaise with the RBMs/ABMs in identifying festivals and events in their locality for Sun King participation.
  16. Liaise with the organizers in securing good participation packages for Sun King.
  17. Work with the creative team in churning out designs to ensure our maximum brand visibility at the festivals/events.
  18. Ensures that Sun King participation at such events are met with maximum publicity.

Job Requirements

You might be a strong candidate if you

  1. HND / B.Sc. in a Business-related field
  2. Minimum of a year experience in a same or related role
  3. Has a flair for brand building and management
  4. Good negotiation and influencing skills.
  5. Pays adequate attention to details.
  6. Cultured with good people and communication skills.
  7. A self-starter, agile, goal-getter and risk taker
  8. Effective team player
  9. Skilled with Google tools (Doc, Sheet & Slide)
