Job Position: Travels and Tours Consultant

Job Location: Abuja

Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

1. Research, explore and study different destination options for clients.
2. Plan and organize travels for clients.
3. Research and study clients’ specifications and wishes regarding travel destinations such as prices, weather, language, currency, customs etc.
4. Suggest suitable travel options that best suit clients’ needs
5. Offering assistance with passport applications and obtaining visas for foreign travel
6. Book tickets, reserve accommodation and organize rental transportation for clients.
7. Provide all relevant and essential information to the client regarding their travel guides, itinerary, brochures and maps.
8. Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell an itinerary tour package
9. Attend webinars, conferences and other educational programs to maintain familiarity with tourism trends.
10. Create and update electronic records of clients.
11. Build and maintain relationships with clients.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism or a Similar relevant field.
2. Two (2) years or more proven working experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
3. Excellent knowledge of travelling software (computer reservation systems, GDS system and e-travel)
4. Proficiency in English; knowledge of the additional language is an advantage.
5. Good sales and presentation skills
6. Excellent knowledge of the latest tourism trends
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
8. Proficient in Google Office Suite Drive – Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.

Required Competencies:

1. Should have excellent written and oral communication skills.
2. Demonstrable ability to handle a crisis.
3. Ability to make quick and smart decisions under pressure.
4. Good organizational and time management skills
5. Team Players.
6. Exemplary sales skills and a customer-oriented approach.

Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
