Job Position: Waiter / Waitress

Location: Lagos

Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers.
  • The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for customers.
  • This would be someone who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.

Job Description

  1. Greeting and serving customers
  2. Providing detailed information on menus(portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
  3. Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and china
  4. Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, regular order pad, or by memorization
  5. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
  6. Up-sell additional products when appropriate
  7. Deliver checks and collect bill payments
  8. Meet with the Head Cook to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations
  9. Following health code standards with regards to the handling of food
  10. Provide excellent customer service to guests

Job Requirements

  1. Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
  2. Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
  3. Attentiveness and patience for customers
  4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  5. Active listening and effective communication skills
  6. Extremely high personal hygiene(hair, teeth, fingernails, etc, and attractively dressed or possibly in uniform)
  7. Flexibility to work in shifts
  8. Food safety training is a plus
  9. Vacancy is open to both male and female
